Bartłomiej Piotrowski is a PhD student in machine vision and mechatronics, developing real-time image processing and visualization algorithms for surgical tools tracking for image guidance in ocular surgery. While pursuing her doctoral studies Dr Rani gained experience in molecular biology, enzyme biochemistry and mammalian cell culture. After her PhD she joined as Research Associate at Regional Centre for Biotechnology, India.

From September 2021 Dr Aruna Rani has joined as Postdoctoral Research fellow at ICTER with Integrated Structural Biology (ISB) group headed by Dr Humberto Fernandes.

Her role is designing diagnostic tools, biomarkers for eye and brain architecture, and function for the application of diagnosis and longitudinal treatments of eye diseases. She is also developing new methods of imaging and characterization of the human retina in vivo.
