The Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw, Poland hosted the CRATER – Conference on Recent Advances in Translational Eye Research – from September 7-8, 2023. The conference brought together leading experts in the field of translational eye research and ophthalmology. One of the key themes of the conference was optical coherence tomography (OCT), a non-invasive imaging technique that is revolutionizing the way we diagnose and treat eye diseases. OCT allows us to visualize the retina and other structures in the eye with unprecedented detail. This has led to the development of new treatments for diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.
