Maciej Ficek, MSc

Maciej got his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mathematics at University of Warsaw in 2019 and 2021, respectively. In 2023, he obtained scholarship and internship at Laboratory of Neuroinformatics, Nencki Institute PAS. Now he is pursuing PhD at Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS at the supervision of dr Marcin Tabaka. He is interested in machine learning as well as high-performance computing and low-level aspects of programming. Enthusiast of open (especially free) software.

Research groups

We are interested in creating new approaches for comprehensive inference of developmental trajectories and delineation of cell atlases from single-cell data, understanding the role of cell-to-cell signaling and biological pathways in lineage commitment and transitions between cellular states.
