Maciej Barański is an experienced researcher with expertise in optics, acoustics, micro-technology, RF systems, and machine learning. He studied physics at the University of Warsaw (BSc, MSc) and earned his PhD in optical micro-systems from Université de Franche-Comté. He has held research positions at Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology, where he worked on miniature imaging spectrometers, Raman imaging systems, and optical methods for stem cell manufacturing. He later joined FEMTO-ST/CNRS, contributing to the development of micro-acoustic devices and low-temperature experimental systems.
At ICTER he serves as Deputy Head for Education and Translation, where he focuses on building virtual clinics and educational programs.
