Her scientific interests focus on the functioning of the neuronal system. She obtained a MSc degree in Biology at the University of Gdańsk. After completing her Ph.D. studies in neurophysiology at the Department of Biology and Environmental Protection at the University of Łódź, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Plasticity and Laboratory of Neurobiology of Vision at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Science in Warsaw.

Description

Master’s degree in mathematics with over twenty years of professional experience in the operation of public universities at all levels of an organisation, including the management of units at all levels. In the course of her professional development, she broadened her knowledge at postgraduate studies (public administration, organisation and management for managers, project management) and courses (Prince2 Foundation, P3O Foundation certificate, among others).

Her professional interests are related to project management in science and higher education. She has participated in research and teaching projects in various positions.

Katarzyna Wybrańska, PhD

PhD degree obtained in 2010 from Chemistry Department at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Nanotechnology of Polymers and Biomaterials Research Group led by Prof. Maria Nowakowska).

Post-doc at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC PAS) in Warsaw from 2011-2017; Post-doc at the University of Warsaw (Department of Chemistry, Biological and Chemical Research Center), 2020.

Scientist, innovator and entrepreneur holding PhD and nanotechnology, experienced in developing

in physical chemistry, specialising in spectroscopy international projects and commercialization of

innovative solutions. Owner of consulting company running commissioned research on carbon footprint, founder of the nanotechnology start-up based on her own invention (NanoAddVenture). Author of publications in recognised scientific journals and patents granted by regional and European Patent Office. Programme officer at the Foundation for Polish Science (2017 – 2020).

Lidia Wolińska-Nizioł, PhD

University Degree:

PhD degree in Environmental Protection (2014), in the area of Molecular Toxicology, at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.

Position at ICTER:

CGG Group Coordinator & Lab Manager

Specialist with a broad experience in molecular techniques and zebrafish research. Lidia joined the team in August 2024, starting her new career direction as a Group Coordinator & Lab Manager overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Computational Genomics Group led by Dr. Marcin Tabaka.

Lidia started her scientific work at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) initially as a Research Assistant in FishMed Project. She continued her career at the IIMCB coordinated the Zebrafish Core Facility and leading her own project. After finishing the grant at IIMCB, Lidia worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Warsaw.

She is co-author of 12 scientific papers. During her scientific career she led two scientific projects. She was awarded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Scholarship for outstanding young scientists.
