Mazovia launches SYNERGY Stakeholder Group at ICTER

The International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) hosted a high-level meeting bringing together representatives of Mazovia’s administration, science, and healthcare to officially launch the Regional Stakeholder Group within the Interreg Europe SYNERGY project.

The event welcomed Dr. Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Dr. Marcin Wajda, Director of the Department of Regional Development and European Funds at the Marshal’s Office, and Prof. Mirosław Ząbek, Head of the Neurosurgery Clinic at Mazowiecki Szpital Bródnowski. From ICTER and IPC PAS, the discussion was led by Prof. Maciej Wojtkowski, Dr. hab. Andrzej Foik, Dr. Karol Karnowski, Dr. hab. Adam Kubas, Dr. hab. Jan Guzowski, and Prof. Jacek Gregorowicz.

Purpose of the initiative

The meeting focused on strengthening research funding, enhancing collaboration between administration, science, and clinics, and co-creating a shared vision for Mazovia’s innovation ecosystem. The symbolic establishment of the SYNERGY Stakeholder Group marks the first step in turning intent into action. The event also featured a tour of ICTER’s laboratories, showcasing patient-oriented technologies developed at the institute.

By aligning policies, people, and plans, Mazovia is positioning itself as a leader in accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice, driving innovation not only regionally but across Europe.
