Your responsibilities:
- Maintaining order in laboratory spaces: microbiological, molecular, genomic, cellular;
- Supervising and maintaining the proper functioning of water purification systems and laboratory equipment (laminar flow cabinets, incubators, autoclaves, ultra-freezers, dryers and laboratory dishwashers);
- Preparing basic buffers and media for experiments carried out in various research groups;
- Preparing materials and performing sterilisation;
- Responding to and solving problems related to equipment and laboratory device failures.
- Monitoring and transferring laboratory, chemical and biological waste for disposal in accordance with internal procedures;
- Refilling liquid nitrogen tanks;
- Checking stock levels of reagents and disposable products;
- Supporting the process of collecting offers for hygiene products, personal protective equipment, reagents and laboratory materials;
- Preferred working hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Our requirements:
- Education in the field of biology, chemistry or related areas;
- Experience in laboratory work;
- Knowledge of and compliance with health and safety rules applicable in scientific and research laboratories;
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and devices, including autoclaves, laboratory dryers and dishwashers, stirrers, pH meters.
- Commitment and excellent work organisation;
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills;
- Independence and accuracy in performing assigned tasks;
- Basic knowledge of English due to the multicultural nature of the research groups;
- Knowledge of MS Office;
- Willingness to learn and acquire new professional skills.
