Laboratory technician (R_4/2026_ICTER)

Your responsibilities:

• Maintaining order in laboratory spaces: microbiological, molecular, genomic, cellular;
  • Supervising and maintaining the proper functioning of water purification systems and laboratory equipment (laminar flow cabinets, incubators, autoclaves, ultra-freezers, dryers and laboratory dishwashers);
  • Preparing basic buffers and media for experiments carried out in various research groups;
  • Preparing materials and performing sterilisation;
  • Responding to and solving problems related to equipment and laboratory device failures.
  • Monitoring and transferring laboratory, chemical and biological waste for disposal in accordance with internal procedures;
  • Refilling liquid nitrogen tanks;
  • Checking stock levels of reagents and disposable products;
  • Supporting the process of collecting offers for hygiene products, personal protective equipment, reagents and laboratory materials;
  • Preferred working hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Our requirements:

• Education in the field of biology, chemistry or related areas;
• Experience in laboratory work;
• Knowledge of and compliance with health and safety rules applicable in scientific and research laboratories;
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and devices, including autoclaves, laboratory dryers and dishwashers, stirrers, pH meters.
• Commitment and excellent work organisation;
• Ability to work in a team and good communication skills;
• Independence and accuracy in performing assigned tasks;
• Basic knowledge of English due to the multicultural nature of the research groups;
• Knowledge of MS Office;
• Willingness to learn and acquire new professional skills.
