The IDoc Laboratory seeks a Junior Software Specialist with knowledge of modern C++ and an understanding of Object-Oriented programming and architecture design patterns related to it, as well as proficiency at CMake, GTest and Git usage, among other skills.
The Junior Software Specialist will have a direct impact in helping with the software development for controlling a robotic arm in real-time in a multi-device I/O exchange software architecture. The Junior Software Specialist will report directly to the IDoc Software Engineer, Krzysztof Gromada, who is in charge of the software development for the project.
Profile of candidates/requirements:
- Student in computer science, software engineering or related discipline
- Good knowledge of modern C++ including clean code practices
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and architecture design patterns related to it
- Good to have knowledge of Python, C#
- Proficiency at CMake, GTest, Git usage
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux OS work principles, including communication sockets, library creation and management
- Basic knowledge in robotics and control engineering
- High English communication skills
- Good self-organization
Key responsibilities include:
- Development of software for robotic arm control
- Unit and functional test preparation using Gtest
- Code reviews
- Image processing pipelines preparation
- Work on DevOps – Adjusting Docker files, CMake, testing of different compilers setups, software debugging and profiling for high processing rate
- Performing other duties as directed

- Documented experience fitting the profile requirements
- Presented opinions via reference letters (if required)
