Interview about the challenges of ophthalmology and eye care for Radio Kampus

Every day our eyes receive millions of stimuli, and the development of technology has changed the way we rest our eyesight as well. The aging society and modern lifestyle pose new challenges in the field of ophthalmology Prof. Maciej Wojtkowski, one of the originators and founders of the International Eye Research Center, speaks in the program about the main goals of the facility, plans for future research and hints on how to take care of your eyesight.
Prof. Wojtkowski gave this interview to Radio Kampus (97.1 FM) in September 2022. The interview was broadcast as part of the “Talk Science” program on Warsaw’s Academic Kampus Radio and on student radio stations in Lublin, Lodz and Wroclaw.

Celebrating the World Day of Photonics

On the occasion of the International Day of Photonics (October 21st) ICTER is hosting and co-organizing a Discussion and Integration Meeting with the representatives of SPIE/OSA/IEEE student chapters at our Headquarters in Wola, Warsaw.

The Meeting is organized by the OSA chapter from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and ICTER, under the umbrella of the Photonics Society of Poland and Polish Technological Platform on Photonics.

The aim of this Meeting is to identify the needs of Photonics and Optics Scientific Circles, to create the possibility of coordinated actions at the national and European levels, aimed at obtaining additional funding for the activities of OSA/SPIE and IEEE Circles.
